At least three explosions were heard in Afghanistan’s eastern city of Jalalabad on Tuesday, followed by gunshots, in an area populated by shops and offices. Initial reports suggest that the attack targeted the refugees and repatriation department. According to the provincial officials, heavy gun battle is now under way in the area.
The two blasts followed a number of other attacks in the city in recent weeks, where dozens of people were killed and injured.
